Headmen in West Jakarta Instructed to Monitor RPTRA

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama expects whole headmen in West Jakarta to intensively monitor Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) in their each area.

RPTRA should be a gathering place that all residents could know each other

His request was delivered through Mayor of West Jakarta, Anas Efendi after the inauguration of Labrata Complex's RPTRA in RT 17/04, Meruya Utara Urban Village, Kembangan, Tuesday (12/29).

"RPTRA should be a gathering place that all residents could know each other. I don't want to hear any children not schooling or headmen who don't know parental function in their own area," said Basuki.

Headmen Should Supervise Rotten Chickens Distribution

He told, the monitoring is obligation of all Jakarta Civil Servants. Because, besides of the existing facilities, his side is currently preparing Ketuk Pintu Layani Dengan Hati (Knock on doors, serve with heart) program for whole RPTRAs and flats spread in the capital.

"We provide clinic down a flat. Then we're preparing doctors who can handle 1,200 residents. So it's expected Jakartans are healthy and they would have a long life," he explained.

Efendi added there are 7 RPTRAs being built in West Jakarta. The process has reached 70 percent.

"The remaining 25 percent is finished next year," he disclosed.
